Stoke Bishop men’s seniors are making headlines in Bristol & District League in division 10 thanks to Gordon Leeks batting exploits
7 weeks into the new season in the new division 10, the Stoke Bishop's men's seniours team are making Coomb Dingle a fortress, and Gordon Leeks leads the way with 2 consecutive home centuries in his race to secure the coveted player of the season trophy. The recent performance set up a home win for the team, beating Backwell Flax Bourton 2nds by 60 runs in Division Ten of the Martin Berrill Sports Bristol & District League. With legspinner, Greg Crichton chipping in with a wicket and a couple of well-taken catches.
This is a great start to the season with the team having been promoted to Division 10 after a number of years playing in div30. The team is moving from strength to strength with new players signing up and putting in good performances. On the back of these performances, the team has moved up to the top of the table and will be working towards promotion for next year. There are plenty of opportunities for new players to come and get involved, see the contact us section for more details.
